Our avatars are storybook characters. They're warm, joyful, and made in a classic children's book style — think expressive eyes, soft rounded features, and clean confident lines that are made for coloring — warm and approachable, not photorealistic but unmistakably them.

1. How does personalization work?
We turn your child or pet into the star of their own story using the photo you upload during the customization process. We create a cartoon style character that closely resembles your child or pet- then send them on their very own adventure —making each book feel magical and personal.
2. What kind of photo should I upload?
For best results, use a clear, front-facing photo with good lighting. Make sure the hairstyle is exactly how you want it shown in the final illustration. Avoid blurry, dark, or angled photos. .
3. What will my child's (pet's) avatar look like? Will it resemble them?
Your child's avatar is built from the photo you provide — hair style, face shape, age, and a few key facial features — so it will carry a genuine likeness. That said, our illustration style is whimsical and cartoonish by design, not photorealistic. Think storybook character, not portrait. 4. Will my book's coloring pages look exactly like the ones shown on the site?
The images will be similar, but not identical. Every page is uniquely created. So while each book follows the same 18 themed scenes and they all share the same storybook style, no two books are exactly alike. Your child's pages will be their very own! That's the magic of Spotlight.
5. What age are Spotlight Coloring Books designed for?
Our books are created so there is something for everyone. Some scenes are simpler for little ones, while other are more detailed illustrations for older kids (or adults). The whimsical, storybook style has a way of charming every age. If you can hold a crayon, there's a page for you.
6. How long does it take to receive my order?
Production typically takes 3–5 business days, followed by shipping time depending on your location. You’ll receive tracking information as soon as your order is on its way.
7. Can I make changes after I place an order?
Reach out to us immediately — we can try and make edits if your order hasn't entered production yet. Once it's in the print queue, changes aren't possible, so double-check names and spellings before you check out. If you need to update or change your order, please contact our support team as soon as possible at info@spotlightcoloring.com.
8. Do you offer bulk or wholesale ordering
We do. If you're interested in a special coloring book to be made for a birthday party, a school, an event or a resort /hotel property, we offer volume pricing and custom work with a minimum number of books needed to be ordered. Check out our business inquiries page or contact us at info@spotlightcoloring.com with the subject as 'custom work' to discuss you needs.
9. Is my child's information kept private?
Absolutely. We use your customization details (name and photo) solely to create your book. We never sell or share personal information, and all data is handled securely. See our full privacy policy for details. .
10. What is your return policy?
We want every customer to love their personalized book. Because every book is made specifically for your child, we don't accept general returns. If there’s an issue with printing, quality, or the product arrives damaged, contact us and we’ll replace it or make it right. Just reach out within 14 days of delivery.
